We’re incredibly proud to have contributed to the newly released Warm Homes Plan and to see our work reflected in it.
This isn’t just another policy announcement. It’s a £15bn commitment to warmer homes, lower bills and meaningful change for the communities that need it most. That matters everywhere, but it feels especially significant in the North, where fuel poverty is a daily reality for too many families and sits at the heart of mayoral ambitions across the region.
What really stands out is the plan’s place-based approach. Working neighbourhood by neighbourhood, alongside trusted partners, means change lasts. Homes are upgraded properly, bills come down and social impact is created at scale, not in isolation.
The focus on solar is a big win too. It’s one of the fastest ways to put money back into residents’ pockets, alongside a long-term commitment to clean heat through to 2050. A transition that feels practical, fair and built around people, not just targets on a page.
We’re also immensely proud of what’s already been delivered. Through previous funding waves, especially SHDF 2.1, the RE:GEN Group supported improvements that accounted for 20.1% of all homes upgraded and 41% of all measures delivered nationwide. That level of impact only happens when delivery, partnerships and local priorities truly align.
None of this has happened by accident. We’ve consistently invested ahead of the curve, particularly through the RE:GEN Academy – backing our SME supply chain and breaking down barriers to bring new people into the industry, creating skills, jobs and opportunity right at the heart of the communities being regenerated.
This is a significant and positive step forward. Having taken the time to properly digest what it proposes, we’re ready to do even more; working alongside our partners to deliver decarbonisation and skills that genuinely enhance lives.
