Bio

Lee Francis is the Chief Executive Officer for RE:GEN Group, following an established career spanning 24 years at ENGIE (previously Keepmoat) where he held senior positions including Regional Managing Director for the North East, Cumbria and North West regions. Responsible for Turnover in excess of £250m and approximately 500 employees, Lee is an inspired leader with a proven track record for delivery.

Lee has been brought in to set the group strategy and drive RE:GEN’s ambitious growth plans forward, ensuring that our vision and our behaviours are truly embedded in our culture. 

Being responsible for all aspects of business activity from work winning through to on site delivery and after care, Lee is an approachable, well respected individual within the Social Housing Sector and a member of the CENE Advisory Board.

Having worked within the sector for in excess of 20 years and with a passion for making a real difference to leave a legacy, Lee has been instrumental in some commendable examples of true ‘place shaping’ and ‘innovation’. This includes the regeneration of the Dunston Rocket development, refurbishment of the Fire Station within the Cultural Quarter in Sunderland as well as some new, innovative renewable advancements in the challenge to tackle climate emergency such as Innovation Village and Core364 tower blocks. 

Lee holds a BSc Hons degree in Quantity Surveying from Northumbria University as well as full SSMTS as safety is of the upmost importance. He has also undergone various ‘Leadership & Development’ programmes to enrich his management skills.
