As a business who works closely with the community, we see first-hand the positive impact that green spaces can have on people’s lives. People everywhere deserve a green space to treasure, whether it’s for quiet reflection, to grow fresh fruit and veg or to connect with others. That’s why we’re proud to be supporting believe housing with the development of a new large allotment behind their HQ offices in Seaham. With the aspirations to create a community hub and growing space for local schools, community groups and believe staff to engage with.
The team at believe have already begun to transform the previously derelict area by clearing the site and removing all waste. So to support with the next phase of work, Team RE:GEN have been down to the allotment to deliver and donate all of the sleepers, fixings required to construct the raised beds as well as the compost and topsoil.
Paul Flannigan, CSR Director comments:
“Social value is a big focus of ours so it’s great to be a part of this initiative and see the allotment taking shape! We’ll be back again later this week to deliver the compost soil required and lend a hand to getting everything finalised. We want to pay a special thanks to Timberline Wood Suppliers for their generosity in providing us with the sleepers and additional timber items. It’s a real strength in numbers effort and we look forward to seeing the benefit of believe’s new allotment for many years to come.”
