INVESTMENT CONTRACT SECURED BY RE:GEN GROUP

 

A £500k contract to improve parking and footpaths in five County Durham communities has been secured by a north east-based firm.

Regeneration specialists RE:GEN Group will install off-street parking and footpath crossovers in Bearpark, Brandon, Ludworth, Pittington and West Rainton, as well as rebuilding boundary walls in Gilesgate. The contract has been awarded by multi-award-winning housing association, believe housing.

The award to Gateshead-based RE:GEN Group was made after a detailed procurement exercise, with 11 organisations bidding for the work.

The improvements are expected to be completed by October this year. They will reduce congestion on narrow streets while also improving homes and communities for hundreds of believe housing customers.

believe housing provides more than 18,000 affordable homes in communities stretching from the North Pennines to the Durham Coast. It is investing heavily in upgrading existing homes alongside an ambitious new-build programme.
