Gentoo housing association who owns and manages more than 29,000 homes in Sunderland has awarded RE:GEN Group a £4m contract to improve the lives of thousands as part of a major environmental investment programme across the region.
North East based regeneration specialists RE:GEN Group will carry out a series of external improvement works throughout the Sunderland area over the course of a 4 year framework, enhancing the lives of thousands as a direct consequence.
The works will include a range of environmental improvements and modernisation to homes including: the renewal of porches, canopies, paths and external boundaries. The works will also include external decoration and investment works to Garages. In addition Re:Gen have been appointed to retrospectively retrofit balconies with timber present and undertake remedial gable works.
The award to local contractor RE:GEN Group was made after a detailed procurement exercise of which 8 bids were submitted prior to RE:GEN’s successful selection.

The overall scheme of improvement works are set to commence in August 2021 and are expected to be completed by March 2025.
